About Power Station Tools
Power Station Tools exists to answer one practical question, quickly and accurately: how long will my battery actually last — or how big a battery do I actually need?
Why we built this
Power stations, portable batteries and solar generators have become common tools for camping, RV life, home backup power, and everyday off-grid convenience — but figuring out whether a given battery can handle your devices usually means digging through spec sheets, forum posts, or trial and error. We built Power Station Tools to make that math instant, transparent, and free.
How the calculator works
Every result on this site is based on two standard formulas: Usable Energy = Battery Capacity × Efficiency and Runtime = Usable Energy ÷ Total Power Consumption. We show our work — the formulas, the assumptions, and clear disclaimers about where real-world results can differ — rather than presenting a black-box number.
Privacy by design
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. We don't require an account, and we don't collect or transmit the numbers you enter. See our Privacy Policy for details.
What we're not
We're not a retailer, and we don't currently publish product recommendations, prices, or specifications for specific power station models — the figures used here are general, orientative device wattages, not brand-specific claims. Always check your own equipment's official documentation for anything you're relying on.
